Thread Hints
Threads - There are certain brands that we prefer. But, that's not to say that the other threads are all bad. A bad thread can give you a big headache. And even when using the very best, you can run into a bad spool. To discover if the thread is okay, unwind the spool just a little and feel the thread. It should feel soft with no rough areas. It should hang pretty straight. There should be no knots. Then look at the threads, it should look consistent without thin and thick areas. If it doesn't pass the test, pass on the thread - unless you want to be punished for something you have done and want a headache. Bad thread can cause your machine to skip stitches and it will also create tension problems.

Metrosene Plus - The BEST polyester sewing thread you can get. We have it in 72 colors.
Cone Thread - A High Grade Commercial polyester sewing/serger thread. Also good for quilting and bobbin thread when embroidering. Can be used in your sewing machine when using a thread stand. 6000 yard cones in 30 colors.

Halo Decorative Thread - An acrylic polyester thread with a metallic look. Great for serging and top stitching.
YLI Pearl Crown Rayon - One of the most versatile decorative threads on the market. Available in 50 colors. It's a highly twisted, thick rayon thread-like cord.
YLI Designer 6 - A heavy rayon thread in 30 colors designed for a serger.
